pavel golovkin

A artist, a journalist and and film director.

Graduated from the History Department of the Faculty of Humanities (Novosibirsk State University) in Akademgorodok. His research was devoted to the study of a great Russian and American poet, Noble Prize winner Joseph Brodsky. He is also interested in the phenomenon of creative titanism and genius in the world history. He was awarded the medal of the Russian Ministry of Education for the best research study in the Young Scientists category.

He is the author of a series of intellectual interviews with such notable figures as the Fields Medal  mathematician Efim Zelmanov, an outstanding clown Slava Polunin, Polish film director Krzysztof Zanussi, opera director Dmitry Chernyakov and Armenian musician Djivan Gasparyan. Pavel Golovkin is the author of 2 short films and the director of 4 full-length documentary films. He is a TEFI-Russian National Television Award laureate (Best Documentary category) for the film "Damned Questions of Existence", a parable telling a story of relationships between Man and Evil. 

His most recent film "Dark sky. White clouds" is a universal human drama about how adult life takes away from the person what it gives him/her as a present in the childhood. He has also worked as an artist, combining documentary footage with animation.
